Born in upstate New York, Kate Butry studied both fine arts & Interior Design in college. After years of oil painting, designing, volunteer work and two internships she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree for Interior Design from The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago.
Kate started in the retail side of the industry, then moved on to work under multiple designers and architects as well as for a reputable showroom at the Merchandise Mart-the worldʼs largest wholesale design center, located in Chicago IL.
